the pretty lady..

The pretty lady..

Once upon a time a big monk and a little monk were traveling together. They came to the bank of a river and found the bridge was damaged. They had to wade across the river. There was a pretty lady who was stuck at the damaged bridge and couldn’t cross the river. The big monk offered to carry her across the river on his back. The lady accepted.  The little monk was shocked by the move of the big monk. ‘How can big brother carry a lady when we are supposed to avoid all intimacy with females?’ thought the little monk. But he kept quiet. The big monk carried the lady across the river and the small monk followed unhappily. When they crossed the river, the big monk let the lady down and they parted ways with her.

All along the way for several miles, the little monk was very unhappy with the act of the big monk. He was making up all kinds of accusations about big monk in his head. This got him madder and madder.
But he still kept quiet. And the big monk had no inclination to explain his situation.  Finally, at a rest point many hours later, the little monk could not stand it any further, he burst out angrily at the big monk. ‘How can you claim yourself a devout monk, when you seize the first opportunity to touch a female, especially when she is very pretty? All your teachings to me make you a big hypocrite. The big monk looked surprised and said, ‘I had put down the pretty lady at the river bank many hours ago, how come you are still carrying her along?’

LESSON : This very old Chinese Zen story reflects the thinking of many people today. We encounter many unpleasant things in our life, they irritate us and they make us angry. Sometimes, they cause us a lot of hurt, sometimes they cause us to be bitter or jealous.. But like the little monk, we are not willing to let them go away. We keep on carrying the baggage of the ‘pretty lady’ with us. We let them keep on coming back to hurt us, make us angry, make us bitter and cause us a lot of agony. Why? Simply because we are not willing to put down or let go of the baggage of the ‘pretty lady’. We should let go of the pretty lady immediately after crossing the river, which is after the unpleasant event is over. This will immediately remove all our agonies. There is no need to be further hurt…

Ayat-Ayat Cinta.

salam..

lama sangat saya x menulis kat blog ni… kerinduan melanda.. ekekeke…. saya sedang memikirkan sesuatu ni…perlu ke saya tulis? erm..

Malam semalam, saya mencari-cari Ayat-Ayat Cinta versi filem di YouTube..rupa-rupaya citer indon..erm.. kalau kita dengar tajuknya, mesti jiwang kan? haha.. tapi Ayat-Ayat Cinta ini BUKAN lah cerita cinta jiwang. u can trust me! Yang pasti bukan cerita jiwang murahan… “I love you, sayang dan u love me,honey“-sesungguhnya istilah ni BUKAN ‘Ayat-Ayat Cinta’!

Bila saya habis saja menonton filem Ayat-Ayat Cinta ini, saya mengucap panjang, terbeleku seorang diri depan computer…terlalu daif sangat diri sendiri dalam dunia ‘cinta’… Ayat-Ayat Cinta ini memang beragama Islam! islamic…hidup…reality…

Tentang Fahri, Maria, Aishah dan Nurul. Fahri mahasiswa Uni.

Perogol Nurul cuba membunuh Maria.

…just nk bebel sat…

saya, nor azua…paling x suka n menyampah n naik nk meluat dgn manusia yang konon nya prasan dialah ‘baik+alim+bagus+encem+smart+baik hati+pemalu+soleh+penyayang+pemurah+peramah+ dan segala macam yang baik2’! tapi sebenarnya sengal belaka! habuk pun tarak! sembang agama sana sini mengalahkan ustaz yg ada phd dr al-azhar… tapi diri sendiri macam sengal…kalau nk kata murahan pun x keterlaluan kot…memang boleh jalan daa makhluk macam ni…

biarlah manusia tu memang jahil agama, daripada manusia yg BANYAK ilmu agama but in da same time buat maksiat merata2… cam sia2 je… cm hipokrit je…. (munafik ke cmni ek? wallahualam) cm poyo pun ada. kesalahan orang lain nampak clear, tapi silap sendiri wat2 buta!

biarlah manusia tu selebet, hidup miskin melarat x da harta…dari manusia gaji besor tapi miskin kesedaran..miskin jiwa..miskin maruah diri!

btul kata Dr Asri—- biar miskin harta, jgn miskin jiwa! so, pd yg tahu+penah baca tulisan Dr Asri ni… come on laaaa…. jgn hanya kononnya pandai baca tapi sebenarnya x reti membaca pun!!!

akhir kata, ibarat pepatah nabil raja lawak astro- “lu pikir la sendiri!” hehe..

sekian, terima kasih.

10 things!

Ten Things We Waste
Lessons from Imam Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyyah

1. Our Knowledge: Wasted by not taking action with it

2. Our Actions: Wasted by committing them without sincerity.

3. Our Wealth: Wasted by using on things that will not bring us ajr (reward from Allah). We waste our money, our status, our authority, on things which have no benefit in this life or in akhirah (hereafter).

4. Our Hearts: Wasted because they are empty from the love of Allah, and the feeling of longing to go to Him, and a feeling of peace and contentment. In it’s place, our hearts are filled with something or someone
else.

5. Our Bodies: Wasted because we don’t use them in ibadah (worship) and service of Allah.

6. Our Love: Our emotional love is misdirected, not towards Allah, but towards something/someone else.

7. Our Time: Wasted, not used properly, to compensate for that which has passed, by doing what is righteous to make up for past deeds.

8. Our Intellect: Wasted on things that are not beneficial, that are detrimental to society and the individual, not in contemplation or reflection.

9. Our Service: Wasted in service of someone who will not bring us closer to Allah, or benefit in dunyaa.

10. Our Dhikr
(Remembrence of Allah): Wasted, because it does not effect us or our hearts.
